In 2016, for the first time in over 400 years, the Fitzwalter Arms opened its doors to overnight guests - introducing three comfortable and well-appointed B&B rooms on the pub’s upper floor.

Providing some of the best value accommodation near Canterbury, each room boasts an en-suite bathroom, tea and coffee making facilities, a hairdryer, a Freeview television, free WiFi - and a delicious continental or Full English breakfast in the morning.

Terms and conditions

Deposit: A deposit of 25% per room is payable at the time of booking. The full balance is due on arrival.

Cancellation policy: If a booking is cancelled more than seven days before the day of arrival, the deposit will be returned in full. If the booking is cancelled seven days or less from the day of arrival, the deposit will be forfeited and will not be returned. If a booking is cancelled 48 hours or less before the time for arrival, you become liable for the balance of the room charge for the full period booked, if the room is not re-let.

Arrival/Departure: Rooms are available from 2.30pm. If you will be arriving later than 11pm, please notify us on 01304 840303.

Pets:  We are a dog friendly pub and you are welcome to bring your dog into the premises on a lead. If you wish to book a room with your pet, there is a £10 per night charge.

Children: All children remain the responsibility of their parent/guardian at all times. A travel cot is available - please let us know if you'll need it when you make your booking.

Electrical equipment: We accept no responsibility for electrical items brought onto, or used in, the premises.

Prices: All prices include VAT and breakfast unless stated otherwise.

Safety & security: Any guest behaving in an inappropriate or threatening manner will be asked to leave the premises immediately.

Payment: All Major credit cards accepted.

Disabled access: Please be advised, regrettably there is no disabled access. All rooms are on the pub’s first floor, and there is no lift.
